Wade Wright's Biography
Wade Wright is a Halifax native who has over 30 years of basketball experience, played at the highest levels in Canadian basketball and has trained some of Canada's premiere high school and semi-pro players on and off the court.
On the court, Wade credits his "no-nonsense" approach to the game from learning from strong East Coast mentors such as Terry Symonds, Shawn Parker and Rick Plato. Throughout his career, Wade has worked very closely with players and teams to help change their mentality on how to play the game to gain confidence from the inside out. Also being a certified personal trainer he helps players understand the importance of having a healthy relationship with food and self-care and how it can help enhance performance.
Off the court, Wade prides himself on empowering players with life skills. His belief is that the principles you build off the court are transferable to how you play on the court. Some of the recognizable clients Wade has worked with are the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), Boys and Girls Club Canada and Pathways to Education, to name a few.
What's important to Wade when working with players and teams is his dedication to motivate and empower youth through athletic commitment and self-discipline.
