Will Konken's Biography

William is passionate about giving back to the community and mentoring youth in sports and life. For the past nine years, he has created basketball development programs for youth during the spring and summer offseason. These programs have included: fundamentals and skill development, weight and strength training, nutrition education, leadership, as well as morals and ethics about the game of basketball.  

William was the head coach for the Junior Boys’ basketball team, and assistant coach for the Senior Boys’ team at Valleyview Secondary, in his hometown of Kamloops BC from 2012 to 2014. There he helped coach the Senior team to a 3rd place finish at the 2014 BC Senior Boys’ Basketball Provincials in Vancouver BC.  

William then moved to Ottawa and obtained an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences Degree with a Double Major in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Ottawa in 2018. His studies focused around the disciplines of: Sport Psychology, Child & Adolescent Psychology, Psychology of the Family, Psychological Disorders and Sleep Psychology. 

William recently relocated to Toronto and is excited to be added to the Legacy Prep Canada family, while also looking forward to the journey of helping young athletes achieve their goals and become successful in any path they desire.  

William strongly believes in capitalizing on opportunities, giving back to the youth of tomorrow and making the most out of life.
