Ever since Jala was young, she has wanted to become an educator. In having a strong love and passion for children Jala has always strived to be a positive and influential voice in their upbringing. She has been working with children for many years and is currently furthering her passion at Ryerson University, in the Early-Childhood Studies Program, with an end goal to become a Physical Education and Indigenous Studies Teacher at the high school level. Recently, she has received an 'Athletic Merit Award' and had finished the school year on the Deans' List for her University.

Jala is also a soccer player for the Women’s Team at Ryerson University and has been playing soccer for many years. On her free time, she enjoys listening to music and writing poetry and is currently in the process of publishing a poetry book.

Jala was born in Mississauga but, has grown up in Brampton where she has given back to her community. She has loads of volunteer experience, especially working with children and teens. She has volunteered in schools, coached and assistant coached, volunteered at a 'boys and girls club' and at a church 'Sunday School' for children and led camps for youth. She has also worked one-on-one with children with disabilities. She hopes to be a great asset to Legacy Prep Canada and truly make a difference in children's lives.
