Christopher (Chris) Co's Biography

I have been involved in baseball for the majority of my life ever since I was a young kid. I played competitive baseball within the Vaughan Vikings organization until I was around 21, mostly in the AA rep division. I excelled at a number of positions, but starting pitcher, shortstop, and third base were my favourite. An accolade I was proud to receive was the YSBA Player of the Year Award in 2013, as I was selected over several other players. I continued to play in high school at Holy Cross Catholic Academy, as well as York University, primarily as a third baseman.

Aside from my playing career, I also took the time to assist in coaching my younger brother’s AAA rep team for a number of years. I would coach first base, run some infield drills, as well as help, develop the pitchers on the team. Teaching those kids, and helping them become better athletes through my own experiences in the sport was something I took pride in and would like to continue doing.

I have an overall passion for athletics as I also spent all four years of high school as part of the basketball, volleyball, and badminton teams. I believe diversity and commitment to physical activity is imperative to becoming a better athlete and person overall. I feel strongly that my competitiveness and desire to offer assistance will translate to the young players becoming successful athletes in a number of ways, while also keeping the game fun and competitive.

Education: York University Bachelors of Science, Spec. Honours in Kinesiology and Health Science, CPR and Standard First Aid Certified
