Brandon Gryschuk's Biography
I began my baseball career through the Vaughan Vikings Organization from the age of 4 up until 2008 where I participated in the 2008 Peewee National Championships. Moving on from Vaughan I also played for the Bolton Braves, Thornhill Reds, and back to Vaughan for the remainder of my career up until I turned 21, predominately playing in the Tier 1 AAA YSBA bracket. Outside of AAA rep baseball I played for the Holy Cross Hawk’s and York University Lion’s Baseball Teams as both an outfielder and pitcher.
Growing up with a brother 5 years younger, I had the pleasure of coaching him and his teammates as we grew up through the sport of baseball. After I graduated from Holy Cross Catholic Academy I continued to return every baseball and basketball season to help mentor and coach both teams ensuring that a competitive, successful and enjoyable sports environment was still present after my departure.
Putting baseball aside, being the best athlete one can be is vital to one’s baseball success. While encouraging lifelong physical activity and a healthy lifestyle and state of mind, my educational background from specific baseball experience, Kinesiology degree and working as a Goodlife Fitness personal trainer can all be utilized to help develop upcoming baseball players but more importantly successful baseball athletes.
Education: Attending York University Teacher’s College, Specialized Honours Kinesiology Degree, Trained Goodlife Fitness Personal Trainer, CPR AED Certified
